No account is required. Preferences, selected cities, radio favorites, timers, cached headlines, market quotes and imported background images are stored on your device. GradTime does not request GPS location. City coordinates come from the city catalog or your manual entry. Selected photos are copied locally using the system picker. Apple TV image imports are transferred over your local network and stored on Apple TV; these images are not uploaded to our internet servers.
You may register with an email address and password to synchronize settings across devices. We store your email, an account identifier, a salted password hash, expiring session-token hashes and your uploaded preferences on gradea.gradmarket.app. Passwords are not stored in plaintext. Configuration includes selected cities, appearance, news and market choices, radio favorites and schedules. Personal radio station names and HTTPS stream URLs are also stored for your account and are only returned to that account; they are not published in the shared catalog. You may delete individual personal stations in the app. Personal streams are played directly from the URL you provide, so the stream provider receives your device connection information. Imported wallpaper files and device-specific file paths are not uploaded. The last upload replaces the cloud configuration. Account data remains until you delete your account in the app or request deletion. Deleting an account removes its sessions, password-reset links and cloud configuration from the active database. Copies in operational backups, if created, may remain until those backups are replaced.
News and market quotes connect to gradea.gradmarket.app. Authorized radio search and playback authorization connect to gradea.gradmarket.app; audio playback connects to gradio.gradmarket.app. Radio search sends your query and selected filters; playback sends a station identifier. Services receive your IP address and technical HTTP request information. Server request logs can retain IP addresses, request paths, search terms, station requests, status codes and connection information to provide the service and diagnose failures. These records may be associated with an IP address. They are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service container logs rotate by capacity: the news service keeps up to three 10 MB log files; radio API and playback services each keep up to three 100 MB files. The time covered depends on traffic, so there is no fixed retention period. Older logs are replaced as the capacity limit is reached. Local data remains until you remove it, reset app data or uninstall the application according to platform behavior.
Radio streams are obtained directly from external broadcasters or through our playback service, depending on platform and stream format. Broadcasters receive connection information, which may include your device IP address for direct playback or the relay server IP address for proxied playback. External providers operate under their own policies. News links, when opened, are governed by the destination publisher's policy.
You can disable news, stop radio playback and remove imported images. Contact gradmarket@gradmarket.co.uk for privacy questions or requests to access or delete retained service records. For optional cloud accounts, you can change your password, sign out or delete your account in Account & cloud. For service request logs, we may need relevant request time and network information to locate records. Please do not send passwords or sensitive documents.
